VR system "flip" developed by IMSYS has been awarded the innovation prize IT in the context of "Initiative Mittelstand"
The extremely mobile extensive VR system flip by IMSYS has been awarded the prestigious "innovation prize IT" in the scope of the Initiative Mittelstand (initiative initiated to appreciate innovations in the area of mid-cap companies) and has been classified as a "qualified product". Having been awarded this prize, IMSYS is now listed among the 20 enterprises which are part of the hardware-category of the official middle-sized companies list in Germany.
For the sixth time already the renowned innovation prize IT has been awarded by the Initiative Mittelstand and Huber Verlag für Neue Medien (publishing agency in the new media area). Once again the initiative has been granted support by its patron, the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie (Federal Ministry of Economic and Technological Affairs). A jury consisting of sixty scientists, IT experts as well as scientific journalists evaluated a wide range of products and solutions within not less than 34 categories. The jury focused upon the innovative quality, benefit as well as the potential of the innovation to be effectively used by mid-sized companies.
As a matter of fact, the "flip" solution represents a solution which allows a prompt as well as cost-effective access to virtual reality with the highest degree of flexibility. Like this mid-sized companies can also make use of the advantages of technologies which had formerly been exclusively worked with by larger companies. Another positive effect is that mid-sized companies can now sustain and stabilize their competitiveness.
Products which contain complex functions as well as a diversity of different variants have to be explained in great detail. The sophisticated stereo display represents a valuable facilitation when it comes to making decisions in the context of distribution and product development. Customers can easily be provided with an overview of the product’s properties. Change requests can be communicated without any delays - and this is possible in the process of development. Various possible solutions can be tested prior to the construction of the first prototype.
"flip" is also a perfect way to solve issues arising with regard to working places: It is as easy as it can be to integrate virtual reality into the daily CAD planning.
The system can be installed without using any specific equipment or tools. Also, the effort of installation is extremely low. The high-quality separate modules are made of aluminium profiles which have a high durability and can easily withstand constantly changing levels of usage. Transportation is not a problem, either, thanks to the foil-sheets of the system which can be rolled up in no time. If the system has to be transported from one location to another, an ordinary car is big enough.
Thus, "flip" can be perfectly used for seminars and training of external distribution employees.
